Geoplan created data on behalf of the Ordnance Survey, using Ordnance Survey Addressbase, Vector Mapping, and Geoplan postcode geography.
The Postcode Unit Boundaries enclose every Postcode delivery address where and the boundaries are designed to follow major physical features such as rivers, roads and the coastline.
In addition to the Unit Postcode boundaries, we also supply in this pack, nested Postcode Areas, Districts and Sector points and boundaries.
To retain continuity over time, the Postcode Unit boundaries are a change only product, ensuring the boundary changes only reflect updates to the underlying delivery address information.
Due to the granularity and visual accuracy of the data, it is used in many different industry sectors and a variety of applications: Flood risk modelling, insurance, consumer and market analysis, logistics and journey planning.
